Joanna Dominick DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Joanna earned both her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner Master of Science degrees from Regis University. She recently completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post Master's certificate from CU. She completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Western State College University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Colorado Health Science Center.

Joanna has been a board-certified family nurse practitioner for 15 years. She has experience in family medicine, walk-in convenient care, school-based health, addiction medicine, and psychiatric medicine. She’s passionate about mental and behavioral health in family medicine and enjoys working with adolescents. Her goal is to provide quality, comprehensive health care to the community and identify health risk factors before they become problematic.

In addition to providing care for the community, Joanna has two talented children, her son is a multi-talented musician and her daughter is a competitive dancer. Joanna enjoys hiking, road biking, mountain biking, paddleboarding, camping, and skiing. She is originally from Florida and moved to Colorado in 1994 to enjoy the mountains and outdoor life. Joanna moved to Durango from the Denver area in 2014 to enjoy the outdoors even more.  Living in a smaller community has further inspired her to provide quality service to her patients based on growing trust and deeper connection.
